Technologies for Financial Inclusion Program

 

The Technologies for Financial Inclusion Program (Tec-In) invites inclusive financial service providers (bank and non bank), interested in obtaining debt or capital financing, to present their applications.

The Tec-In Program seeks to test and apply technology that contributes to increasing the reach and improving the effectiveness of financial services for microenterprises and low-income households in Latin America and the Caribbean.

ELIGIBILITY:

Projects must focus on increasing access, quality, use, and/or reducing the cost of financial services for un-banked populations through the use of technology.

  • Feasibility: Projects must be feasible in all of the following areas: technical, financial, commercial, institutional, regulatory.
  • Sustainability: The proposed technical solution must be sustainable at an operational and financial level, factoring in the financial stability of the institution and the cost-benefit relation, as well as the counterpart contribution.

APPLICATION:

Entities interested in becoming part of the program and obtaining funding must complete the online application (to access application, please register through the link provided to obtain an account) and submit this document, along with the entity’s financial statements and its bylaws, to tec-in@iadb.org.

DEADLINE:

Proposals will be reviewed on a rolling basis. There is no deadline for submitting applications.
