The National Geographic Society awards grants for conservation, education, research, storytelling, and technology through its Committee for Research and Exploration.

National Geographic Society grant-funded projects should be bold, innovative transformative, novel and exploratory, and be of broad interest.

ELIGIBILITY:  Global (especially applicants from outside the United States)

An Early Career Grant application is a request for funding that offers less experienced individuals (those without an advanced degree) an opportunity to lead a project.

VALUE: Usually up US $5,000.

DEADLINE: July 1, 2017

Applications should be submitted at least four months before the project start date. National Geographic Society accept applications on a rolling basis and usually make decisions within four months.
